RFP for the Use of Research Evidence

In 2011, the Foundation released our third Request for Proposals (RFP) on Understanding the Acquisition, Interpretation, and Use of  Research Evidence in Policy and Practice. This RFP reflects our longstanding interest in supporting research that can inform policy and practice that affect youth.
Deadline

The third RFP was released on January 20, 2011. The deadline for letters of inquiry was June 15, 2011.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:
  • Be employed at a nonprofit institution, either in the United States or abroad. In most instances, these organizations will have 501(c)(3) tax exempt status, set up to receive and process grant awards. However, in rare cases, colleges or universities (such as Arizona State University) will not have 501(c)(3) tax exemption. If your institution fits into this category, we can instead accept an IRS determination letter which states that it is classified as a school under sections 509a1 and 170b1Aii of the IRS Code;
  • Submit a project that is consistent with the stated goals of the RFP; and
  • Reflect high standards of evidence and rigorous methods, commensurate with the RFP's goals.
